Comments…

At the point of writing this, there have been 285 page views, and 8 comments.

This all looks a little pathetic really… don’t you think?  Especially when one of the comments was me.

So… I know you are there, the page counter clicks over each time you visit.  Please leave me a comment!

I am beginning to feel a little bit like I am talking to myself…

I promise I will go back and upload all the pictures into the posts I transferred from Vox, and generally try harder to make things more interesting and much prettier.

I will even write “what do you think?” at the end of new posts if that makes you more comfortable…

I am just learning, show me some support people!

Thank-you!  xoxoxox

What do you think?  Are comments on blogs a good idea?

Ke-Ki

Profiterole

We went out for coffee and Ke-ki in the rain last night with Michael, and found a nice tiny, Italian cafe near home. The coffee and Ke-ki were small and expensive as usual, but delicious.Ke-ki here is often presented in boxes with a little paper bed, which makes the desserts look deceptively large. We have been a little disappointed many times, to get back to our table and discover the truth.

The Ke-ki at this cafe was the usual size, but was actualy rich and tasty! Even the miniscule serving of profiterole made me feel slightly unwell afterwards, just like a real cake should.

Rainy afternoons

Rainy day

Rainy days are actually not so bad. We can’t sit in the park and picnic, but we can take our umbrellas out for a walk and see all sorts of lovely rainy day sights. Now we are looking forward to going out for some rainy day coffee and ke-ki.

No better way to spend the evening!

Flickr Post

Tokyo, originally uploaded by lijunlaopo.

I have just discovered a “blog this” button on Flickr, so am testing it out.
This interweb thing is so clever….

Photo above is taken by Patrick, the second most talented photographer in the household.

Envy

I have added another link to my blogroll.

Ayako gave me her web address today so I could see her lovely creations.  I am enormously envious because she works from home and makes a living from her online store.  I want an online store too!

I must develop a talent….

I grew up thinking I was creative.  It has only been recently that I have come to realise I am not at all creative, just kind of good at recreating pretty things.  Not such a useful talent really.

I can see what works and what doesn’t work in other peoples efforts, but don’t seem to be able to come up with anything original myself… only modifications of all the things that appear around me.  How boring.

Maybe Patrick has some good ideas.
